Pakatan assures Hasan's safety during roadshow

PAS vice-president Mahfuz Omar gave assurance that Pakatan Rakyat-controlled states will not disrupt former Selangor PAS commissioner Hasan Ali’s nationwide tour explaining the latter's expulsion from the party.
“Let me assure that Pakatan will ensure his safety to conduct talks in states held by Pakatan,” he said.
“Hasan need not worry as we will not act like Perkasa, like what they had done to PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu recently,” he said.
Hasan, at his press conference yesterday said there were “ parasites ” in PAS who had deviated from the party’s Islamic struggle, and threatened to reveal these individuals in two weeks.
The disgruntled former PAS leader claimed that this group had infiltrated the party and held senior posts, blaming them for changing the party’s path and ultimately holding them responsible for his expulsion.
Hasan shows 'true colours'
Meanwhile Selangor PAS Youth vowed to hit back if Hasan persisted in “ridiculing and publicly attacking” the party.
“We will not sit by quietly, but are prepared to tour the whole of Selangor to counter Hasan’s accusations and slander towards PAS, if he insists on ridiculing and publicly attacking PAS,” said Selangor PAS Youth deputy chief Mohd Sany Hamzan in a statement today.
He said if the former exco’s claims were true, he should have raised it to the party leaders to act upon rather than to “hawk” the news to the media “as if hoping for public sympathy”.
Mohd Sany said a senior leader of Hasan’s stature should be gentleman enough to accept criticism and the party’s decision to sack him.
“Alas, he has shown his true colours, as someone who is egoistic, stubborn, arrogant and who cannot be controlled by the party’s regulations,” he said.
Mohd Sany, who is also political and election bureau chair, hoped Hasan realises his mistakes and apologises to the party.
“Let not his loss of position and power cause him to sell out his self-respect and become an Umno-BN tool,” he said.
