Taqwa Foundation has denied allegation by Federal Territory PAS Youth that it used funds to finance the political programmes of Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Jamil Khir Baharom.        

NONE A statement today said it was not involved in providing roofing aid, Aidilfitri Open House, aid to youths and help finance mower and pesticide pumps to people in Jerai.       

"All the details including total expenditure and contributions raised are in MAIWP 2010 Annual Report that was audited and verified. The audit report was made in accordance with guidelines, regulations and existing laws.        

"It was audited by external auditors, MAIWP auditors and the Auditor-General’s Department and recognised as clean since 2007 until now," said the statement.        

Taqwa Foundation is an agency under Federal Territory Islamic Council (MAIWP).

The foundation was replying to allegation by Federal Territory PAS Youth that was on news portals and opposition newspapers.        

It also explained that the RM2 million excess administrative expenditure covers all expenses for administration and management programmes for one year.    

Focus of members of the board of trustees is to give aid to those who meet the conditions and procedures.    

The foundation is also involved in a mission to help the Muslim community via the 'outreach' programme in Cambodia, Vietnam, southern Thailand and Indonesia.    

"Taqwa Foundation programmes and activities cover education, propagation, welfare and emergency aid.        

"It plays a role in helping Muslim society by distributing resources in a prudent manner," the statement said.
