YOURSAY 'When it comes to resigning from the state assembly on account of being sacked from PAS, his self-righteousness disappears...'.
Hasan happy to attend state sitting as Independent
Anonymous_3e4b: Former Selangor exco Hasan Ali, you were elected on a PAS ticket. As such, you should vacate your seat. That is what I call 'dignity'.
Until you resign from your state assembly seat, you are perceived as greedy for the income you are receiving as a state assemblyperson.
Hello: This person acts so self-righteous, but when it comes to resigning from the state assembly on account of being sacked from PAS, his self-righteousness disappears and he evades the issue with irrelevant excuses.
He was elected on a PAS ticket and on being disassociated with the party, he is morally committed to resign as a state assemblyperson.
Chipmunk: Hasan Ali, if you meant what you say about fighting for the three ‘Rs' (race, religion and royalty), can you please return your PhD that you got from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1985?
And since you won your last Gombak Setia state seat via the PAS ticket, it should only be right that you tender your resignation and come GE13, contest as an independent and see if you are still as popular as you claim to be.
Dont Just Talk: Malaysia should follow Singapore's law that any politician who resigns from his party or is expelled by his party will automatically be disqualified from the MP or state assembly post that he is enjoying.
It is for the simple reason of preventing frogs jumping like what voters saw after the 2008 general election resulting in Perak returning to BN although it was rejected by the voters.
Now that the 13th GE is around the corner, it is also the season for frog jumping when these shameless, unprincipled politicians will likely be paid a few million ringgit to sell their soul to Umno-BN.
James1067: When you want to struggle for just your race and religion and not for the real problems that are destroying the country, then you are a hypocrite. If the country is bankrupt, what use is supremacy of race and religion?
Instead of uniting the people to work together to cure the disease that is destroying the nation, you are just helping the enemy to achieve their goal.
Lin Wenquan: Good luck to you, Hasan. Your rabid raving and ranting about non-existent proselytising of Muslims will go well with Umno's agenda.
But they will never offer you a place in the next GE, that's for sure. PAS is better off without a religious bigot like you who preaches hate and intolerance, and whose one's selfish political ambition is couched in theological jingoism.
Incidentally, when will your made-in-Thailand video showing the conversion of Muslims by some Christians as alleged by you be ready for public viewing? Or are you still writing the script?
ACR: Is Hasan as dumb as he sounds? When asked about the purported video of Muslim proselytisation, he replied, "There are still some technical details before it can be completed."
Are we supposed to believe his nonsense? You either have a video shot at the scene of the proselytisation or you don't. It is evident you are manufacturing videos - something Umno has mastered and it's clear where your instructions come from.
Ferdtan: Hasan, can you further elaborate your statement at one time in the state assembly that once DAP, together with its partners, wins Putrajaya they would join with PAP of Singapore to take over Malaysia?
Anyone who says something like that is not only unintelligent, but has a wicked intent to mislead the uninformed, not-too-educated rural Malaysians. From that statement alone, it proves that you are a leader of no integrity.
Midnight's Child: Hasan has overstepped the bounds of common sense. He wants to fight for Malay rights. Start with Umno, you imbecile.
They are the ones who rob from the poor Malays to enrich themselves and also to pay you your allowance for raising issues which Umno dares not raise for fear of losing votes.
You should fight corruption, greed, mismanagement which cause the Malays to lose billions and the let the elite amongst them live in opulence and style.
That is where your battle ought to be fought. Not other issues, which are no threat at all but only exist in your imagination.
Foodforthought: He said the state assembly needs to debate the issue claiming that Malay special rights was being threatened by "extinction". I think it's more like Umno-BN ‘syok sendiri' rights that are being threatened by extinction.
Sentinel: Hasan may like to know that 'Raja' is an Indian word, and 'Melayu' is derived from the Tamil 'malai oor' meaning ‘hill country'.
In fact, much of Bahasa Malaysia's vocabulary is sourced from Indian languages and English. Many 'Malay' customs are also of Indian origin.
Centuries before the immigrants from Indonesia settled in the Peninsula and began calling themselves 'Malay' bumiputeras (also an Indian word, by the way) settlers from Tamil Nadu had already created a flourishing principality in Kedah.
Also, the Sri Vijaya empire had established a well-organised settlement in Masai, Johor. And all this, before the Indonesian immigrants came and got their bumiputera status.
The Dewan Bahasa is only good at replacing the ‘c's and ‘y's in English words to convert them to Malay words (e.g. ‘economy' became ‘ekonomi'). Even Goofy can do a better job. So where does ‘ketuanan' come into the picture?
Kairos: Nobody wants Hasan. Indeed, nobody is keen to associate themselves with this loser. He is more of a liability than anything else. The platform that he chooses to stand on is extreme, racist and totally destructive to the peace and harmony in this country.
He is a self-deluded man who seems to hear voices and sees hallucinations telling him to champion causes that do not resonate with peace-loving Malaysians. I say, let him burn in his own hatred and inflammatory vitriolics.
All the rest of us, peace-loving citizens of this country, will continue to stand for what is right and righteous and foster a united harmonious Malaysia. Ignore Hasan and their likes and condemn them to the rubbish bin of history.
BernieBaby: Hasan should remember the 9th commandment: Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
