Mahathir spooked by huge PAS crowd in home state

YOURSAY 'Mahathir, have you ever seen such a crowd in Alor Setar in the umpteen years you stayed at Titi Gajah?'

Dr M mocks PAS' 'rent-a-crowd' gimmick

your say Tholu: If there were hired people among those in the huge crowd at the PAS rally in Alor Setar last Friday, than Umno-BN has to worry.

You see, PAS members and supporters need not be hired to attend the rally and DAP and PKR members and supporters would have been there voluntarily.

So we can derive only one conclusion from this: Apparently, there were supporters from the ruling party who attended the gathering as well. Well, this is good news for Pakatan Rakyat.

Ruben: Actually, TDM (Tun Dr Mahathir) knew all along that the massive crowd in Alor Setar were indeed genuine, unlike the paid Umno crowd in Bukit Jalil.

The thing about TDM is that he just cannot accept that his home state is an opposiition state. He just cannot accept that Tok Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat is truly revered unlike him, who is a has-been.

TDM, the joke is actually on you. Don't you feel sad now that the once revered attention has all but gone as you show more and more your ugly side.

Abasir: By calling them a "rented crowd", former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad has just slandered the tens of thousands of Muslims who attended the gathering in his home state.

And this same fellow talks speaking about Muslim unity whenever it suits his selfish purposes.

Pondering Why: Mahathir's statement explicitly referred to the weak Umno leadership.

This resulted in Umno-BN to out source the dirty work to others and it is being carried out without any remorse as to its ramifications.

This old man has taken upon himself to perform this dirty work on Umno's behalf.

Ferdtan: Come to think of it - 'great minds' think alike. DPM Muhyiddin Yassin just said that , and now Mahathir is telling the same story.

Are we to believe that our deputy PM suddenly can be on par with the political strategising of Mahathir?

There seem to have some synchronising and coordination of statements coming out from our top Umno leaders, including Information Minister Rais Yatim .

From the statements made by them the last two days, I believe Mahathir has been appointed unofficially to lead the fight against Pakatan in this looming GE.

Najib is taking a back-seat with his former mentor, Mahathir, in charge. You can be sure Rosmah Mansor would not be happy at all with this 'changing of the guard'.

Kalui64: Most PAS supporters came in their old jalopies. The main roads and the toll plazas at the North-South Highway were jammed up.

These supporters ate at hawker stalls, had their prayers and baths at suraus, slept in their cars or in the open, parked their cars far from the stadium, and they did all that voluntarily.

The town was congested with vehicles and people and there were traffic jams, especially at intersections and roads leading to the stadium.

TDM, have you ever seen such a crowd in Alor Setar in the umpteen years you stayed at Titi Gajah?

Or have you, as PM for 22 years, been able to get such a crowd to converge at Stadium Darulaman?

"Rent-a-crowd gimmick"? My foot.

Onyourtoes: Mahathir, you are imputing your depraved value on others again. If you have hired crowd, please don't assume that others will do the same.

Yes, of course you still can win the election if none has turned up to listen to you. No one can cheat better than you, that is for sure.

Free And Fair Election: Mahathir has forgotten while BN handed goodie bags to those who attended, PAS handed a collection bag to collect funds.

And how do I know? I have been to their ceramah and I'm more than willing to give.

Mahathir can continue to motivate a smaller portion of the uneducated Malaysians but somehow, God is great. He has a way to turn whatever evil schemes planned by BN and turn them around.

Whenever Najib hands out pre-election goodies, he ends up being slapped in the face by his Umno cronies. NFC (National Feedlot Corporation) was a slap, now the Scorpene is another slap.

Face it, Unmo is going down. Your castle in the air is on the brink of ruin.

Queenie: The crowd took you by surprise did it not, Tun? Well, eat your heart out. It was not a rented one, unlike your Umno gathering.

Bersih 3.0 too spooked you, but you prefer to believe it was an uprising. Yes, bury your head in the sand for all we care but we are not the ones shitting bricks.
