Selangor Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia (Perkasa) today lodged seven police reports to stop private investigator P Balasubramaniam from making a series of speeches which they

claimed were defaming Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.      

azlan Selangor Perkasa president Abu Bakar Yahya described Balasubramaniam’s action of linking the prime minister to an alleged murder as a serious defamation which could tarnish the leader’s image.   

“We hope the authorities investigate the matter and take the appropriate action against Balasubramaniam, who is understood to have started making these speeches,” he told reporters after lodging the report at the Shah Alam police headquarters.  

He said if Balasubramaniam really had solid proof on the matter he should hand it over to the police and his refusal to do so would clearly show the private investigator was malicious and being used by irresponsible parties out to threaten the country’s peace.   

Shah Alam police chief ACP Zahedi Ayob confirmed receiving the report when contacted in Shah Alam.  

In GEORGE TOWN, Penang Perkasa made the same report at the North East police headquarters.   

“This is a very serious allegation and if Balasubramaniam cannot present solid evidence to back it up he should be charged for creating unrest,” said a state Perkasa leader, Mohd Rizuad Mohd Azudin, to reporters outside the police headquarters.   

In KUALA TERENGGANU, state Wiranita leader Wan Zakiah Wan Khalid made a similar report at the Kuala Terengganu police headquarters.  

She said Balasubramaniam was intentionally politicising the matter and urged appropriate action be taken against him and his accomplices.
