YOURSAY ‘As usual, you were hoping that the traffic jams would turn the people's sentiments against Pakatan.'

28 Pakatan rally speakers to be probed for sedition

your say Lover Boy Dear: Selangor police chief (CPO) Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah, I think you do not know the meaning of sedition as defined under the Sedition Act.

When Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali threatened to burn the Bible, you invited him to have a cup of coffee and nothing came out of it.

When Perkasa vice-president Zulkifli Noordin insulted the Hindus by running down their religion, what did you do? Nothing.

Now you want to haul up 28 Pakatan Rakyat speakers at the post-GE13 rally in Kelana Jaya stadium on Wednesday for sedition? I honestly think you do not have the balls or courage to do it.

Hacks: Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Ismail Omar should take a stand to not side with BN as the election was a fraud.

If they continuing siding BN, this country will be destroy. And the blame will be with them.

Anonymous_3e06: Police threat, you can throw to the wind. When there is national fraud, the police are worried about traffic jam. I am worried that there is no rice and you are concerned about the colour of the pot.

CiViC: Please arrest Ibrahim first, then Zulkifli, followed by Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, deputy BN chief Muhyiddin Yassin, Utusan Malaysia , The Star , PM Najib Abdul Razak, former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad and then the IGP and yourself before any of these Pakatan leaders.

Quigonbond: CPO, are you defying your IGP? The rally at the Kelana Jaya stadium is on a piece of private property in which consent to use has been given.

This is an assembly, not a procession. There is no need to give 10 days notice. I heard the speakers. At most, they talk about "undur Najib" or "undur BN".

In light of various proof of electoral shenanigans, are those sentiments not based on truth? Truth is not seditious. Also, criticism of a ruling coalition is not seditious. Pakatan is not asking for BN to be toppled through street protests.

Nor is Pakatan asking for the system of government to be dismantled. They will still contest in courts. You cannot allege sedition just looking at one part of the speech. Look at context.

CPO, I suggest you go back to your textbooks and stop making such threats against Pakatan leaders. Remember that they currently represent the moral imperative of Malaysians and the voice of the majority.

It is disappointing to see you pander to power abuse forces in BN because the IGP has been fair-handed over the last two days.

AnakMalaysia: Police should not care too much about politics. Let the politicians deal with it. They should focus 110 percent of its force dealing with crime, and a small portion on traffic and others. Police should be neutral, independent and apolitical.

Justice Pao: Why no sedition probe on the Utusan writer and, so quick to act now when the police did not even help in directing traffic at the rally on Wednesday?

Malaysia ABU: With such a massive enchanted crowd and if the speakers did speak something seditious, what do you think will happen with the crowd? We would have directly march to Putrajaya and take it over. But that was not the case.

The whole assembly was peaceful and the participants dispersed peacefully, without any police intervention.

On the contrary, we heard them preach about the unity of Bangsa Malaysia, against Najib's and Utusan 's seditious propaganda on creating hatred among races. Police should commend the speakers, not be probe them.

Vijay47: Where sedition is concerned, nobody needs to be a rocket scientist to predict how our wonderful police force will react. Anything and everything said by opposition leaders must be sedition, it cannot get simpler than that. I am sure Mahathir, Ibrahim Ali and Zulkifli can testify to that.

Massive traffic jams? What were the police doing about it? I did not see a single police officer anywhere within miles of the stadium to help in traffic management last night. Whether the event was organised by Pakatan or Umno, it is your duty to control traffic.

Your IGP himself announced that the gathering was not illegal, so where were you? As usual, you were hoping that the traffic jams would turn the people's sentiments against Pakatan.

I'm sorry to spoil your party but there was not a single show of annoyance or impatience from motorists along the 3km I had to walk to get back to my car.

Peninsula M'sian: It's very odd. Why weren't the newspaper hauled up too since they printed seditious matters for two days running?

Trigem: Go ahead. Arrest Anwar Ibrahim and others. You will see another rally 10 times larger than this one. Remember, you are doing things that the majority of Malaysians do not approve of.

Mushiro: Tun Hisan, this is a political statement, so please wear your party uniform when making such statements.

Sedition? Probe Utusan first, then we talk
