Fierce Malay DAP critic Zulkifli quits positions
Former DAP vice-chairperson Zulkifli Mohd Noor has quit all his positions after months of tirades against his party.
Former DAP vice-chairperson Zulkifli Mohd Noor has quit all his positions after months of tirades against his party.
In a statement today, Zulkifli announced his resignation as Bayan Baru DAP liaison committee chairperson, Penang DAP committee member and Penang Global Tourism director.
“I do not regret in saying that the Penang government leadership today does not stand by the people.
“It is seen to have lost its way to become an iron fist rule that only benefits the elites,” he said.
However, Zulkifli said he will still remain a normal DAP member, which he has been for 26 years.
Zulkifli lost in the last DAP central executive committee re-election.
Following his loss, he declared not a single “original” Malay had won, although Bayan Baru MP Zairil Khir Johari was the sole Malay candidate to win.
Zairil is of half Malay and half Chinese parentage.
