MH370 Indonesia has contradicted Acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein's claim that Indonesian families of passengers on board the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 had no problems with information being put out by Malaysia.

Hishammuddin had made the claim after meeting an Indonesian delegation yesterday.

However, Indonesian special envoy chief Wiwiek Setyawati Firman said the country had -  during yesterday’s meeting - specifically asked Malaysia to improve the information given to Indonesian families, reported Tempo .

"Among the matters we conveyed to the Malaysian government is the families' request for clearer and more periodic information,” she was quoted as saying.

"All this while, Malaysia has already been providing information to the families but they are hoping for information that is up to date.”

The reports added that Indonesia also requested Malaysia not to stop the search effort until the aircraft is found.

Yesterday, Hishammuddin had deflecting criticism in China of Malaysia's handling of the incident by citing Indonesia as an example.

"I asked the Indonesian delegation about the seven Indonesian passengers' families and whether there were problems regarding information required and the answer given to me was 'No'," he had said.

Similarly, he said, no major grievances had been expressed during his meetings with families of other nationalities.

"(Thus) I don't see any major problems," he had added.
