A heavy vehicle driver claimed trial in a sessions court in Petaling Jaya today for threatening Deputy Education Minister P Kamalanathan.

 

M Gunalan, 36, is charged with threatening Kamalanathan via SMS with the purpose of scaring the deputy minister at Jalan Cecawi 6/17, Kota Damansara,‎ about 2.26am on Oct 20 this year.

 

He is represented by lawyer Suraj Singh, while DPP Tan Gin Han is prosecuting.

 

Sessions judge Yasmin Abdul Razak fixed bail at RM6,000, on one surety.

 

Yasmin also fixed ‎Dec 15 for mention of the case.
