DAP's Balakong assemblyperson Eddie Ng may have been dealt an unlucky hand, with pictures of him allegedly playing poker that have been circulating on the Internet.

DAP forbids any of its members from engaging in gambling.

The picture of Ng, first uploaded by MCA member Tan Khai Beng and former DAP aide Tony Tan, shows a man resembling Ng dealing the cards to others at a poker table,

China Press reported.

The picture showed a deck of cards scattered on the table next to beverages and cash.

There were at least two other men in the picture, believed to be taken at night.

The man said to resemble Ng was wearing a short-sleeved white shirt with the buttons mostly undone.

DAP disciplinary committee chairperson Tan Kok Wai, who is also DAP acting president, told Malaysiakini the party forbids its premises to be used for gambling, whether or not it involves money.

Tan said he has contacted Ng and sought a written explanation on the matter.
