Jamaluddin laid to rest at Heroes Mausoleum
Rompin MP Jamaluddin Jarjis who died in the Semenyih helicopter crash yesterday was buried in the compounds of the Heroes Mausoleum at Masjid Negara.
He was buried after funeral rites was read out by Masjid Negara imam Sheikh Ismail Muhammad.

Lebih 1,000 orang yang terdiri daripada pemimpin-pemimpin tertinggi negara, bekas-bekas pemimpin, rakan-rakan dan ahli keluarga hadir bagi memberi penghormatan terakhir pada Jamaludin.
Suasana hiba turut menyelubungi Makam Pahlawan diiringi dengan hujan renyai.

His casket was carried by his son Ikhwan Hafiz, family members and pallbearers from the 1st Royal Malay Regiment (RMR), Star Online reported.
Several prime ministers and deputy prime ministers were laid to rest within the dome of the mausoleum while other dignitaries were buried outside the dome.
Jamaluddin, once cabinet minister and Malaysia’s envoy to the United States, was among PM Najib's closest advisors.
He was traveling to Kuala Lumpur from Najib’s daughter’s wedding reception in Pekan, Pahang along with PM’s chief of staff Azlin Alias. The crash killed all six on board.

Jamaluddin's remains were earlier taken to Masjid Taman Tun Abdul Razak in Ampang for funeral prayers, before brought to his home in The Mines, Seri Kembangan.
Streams of mourners reportedly visited the home since 10pm last night to comfort the family and recite prayers, Bernama reported.
Tributes continue to pour in for Jamaluddin, 64, including from the US embassy in Kuala Lumpur, which flew the American flag at half mast.

US ambassador to Malaysia Joseph Yun lauded Jamaluddin for his dedication in promoting two way relations between US-Malaysia.
"His creativity, energy and vision contribute to the close friendship between two nations.
"His commitment and dedication to close US-Malaysia ties will always be remembered," Yun said in a statement.
A smiling warrior
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng lauded Jamaluddin (below) for his friendly stance.
"Even though he was the chief strategist of Najib’s war room, he had a heart for all, including the opposition.
"I will always remember him as a smiling warrior, willing to negotiate to work out some compromise.
"We may be political opponents, but we never doubted each other’s loyalty to Malaysia and were willing to have friendly and reasoned discourse," Lim said in a statement.
Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad described Jamaluddin as an "activist' and said his death is a big loss to the nation, Bernama reported.

Yesterday a grief-stricken Najib said Jamaluddin had been his friend since college.
"(He) was my friend of many years - and no truer friend could I have," he said.
He also lauded Azlin (left) as an "outstanding government servant."
"Theirs was an example of national service that we should all emulate."
Hundreds gathered at the funeral for Azlin at his home in Saujana Impian Kajang, before he was buried amidst a drizzle in a solemn occassion at 3pm today, Star Online reported.
He is survived by his widow, two sons and a daughter.
His eldest son missed the burial and is expected to arrive from Manchester where he is studying later today, Star Online reported.
Najib yesterday ordered an investigation into the tragedy.
"It is too early to say why this happened. But no stone will be left unturned," the PM said.
Police found the helicopter’s black box in good condition at the crash site at Kampung Sungai Pening at about 11.30am today and handed it over to the Department of Civil Aviation, Selangor Police Chief Abdul Samah Mat told reporters.
The corporate AS365N2 Dauphin helicopter belonged to IGB Corporation and was operated by the pilot’s company Cempaka Aviation.
Others who died in the crash were developer SP Baiduri head Tan Huat Seang, pilot captain Clifford William Fournier, operations assistant Aidana Baizieva, and Jamaluddin’s bodyguard Razakan Seran.
Tan died a day short of his 59th birthday, Bernama reported. His remains will be brought to the Nilai Memorial Park for cremation tonight.
A friend who declined to be named told the newswire Tan was a hardworking, low profile man who was passionate about his collection of luxury cars which include a Lamborghini and Ferrari.
SP Baiduri, a developer involved in the construction of more than 1,000 units of various types of houses under the 1Malaysia People's Housing Scheme (Pr1ma) in Sungai Petani.
Jamaluddin was also chairperson of Pr1ma.
