Kak Wan: Why is Chew not supporting a woman?

Legit: PKR Permatang Pauh candidate Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, please do not go on this silly line of argument. Be a fighter and fight it out whether you are a man or woman.

Show the people you have what it takes and not hide under some whiny reason like you are a woman and therefore others must support you. If you can’t do that, you should not have accepted this nomination.

We want somebody who strong on their own and can fight this corrupt regime and bring development to the people of Permatang Pauh, not some weakling who has to depend on someone else's advice or directive before saying or doing anything.

NoBN4me: It should not be about gender. It is about whether a person can to perform.

Wan Azizah had been the MP for Permatang Pauh two and a half terms. The voters will decide whether she is worthy to be re-elected after resigning to make way for her husband in 2008.

Xed: Wan Azizah is a career woman who has gone through hell because of her husband's enemies.

MCA vice chairperson Chew Mei Fun, on the other hand, does not have to worry about suffering harm, lawsuits, harassment and insults from Umno and its lackeys.

Wan Azizah has done much in the struggle against evil. Don't forget, sometimes you are only left with your family in the political wilderness.

Anwar may be down but he is not out. Opportunists have deserted him because they see that he is of no help to them. But his family has stood by him.

A leader may not be guilty of nepotism when he or she sees that he can trust and rely upon, above all, family members, especially when he the leader is not in power.

Wan Azizah is nowhere near the illiterate wife of the chief minister of India who took over the post when he went to prison and did his bidding.

When Anwar becomes prime minister, he will find many opportunists coming to lick his boots. Wan Azizah should then give them a smack with her fan.

Song Soon Onn: Chew is a MCA representative who doesn't represent the Chinese but Umno.

If Wan Azizah doesn't support her own husband, who should she support? And to call her a puppet because she is doing the right thing by backing her husband...

It is so disgusting for this woman to even say anything about you. You will be the victor, Allah has special place for you and your great girls.

Basically: Chew is obviously not very bright. If you want to scare Permatang Pauh voters about hudud, then the worst thing they could do is vote in another Umno MP who will then put his hand up when the hudud bill goes to Parliament. How dumb is that?

Chew, since you talk so big about hudud, I dare you to go to the Malay areas in Permatang Pauh and tell them what you think about hudud.

Heck, if you tell them voting for Kak Wan (Wan Azizah) may help PAS get hudud implemented, maybe more PAS youth members will vote for her then.

'Shahrizat and Zahid's innuendos disgusting'

Negarawan: What kind of Islamic principles are Umno vice-president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Umno Wanita chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil portraying with their shameless display of obscenities?

It is bad enough that a man talks like this in public, but for a woman, it is thoroughly disgusting. Shahrizat's true colour is showing through, and it brings further shame to her family and alma mater.

Bad Head: They are the sex king and queen of Umno, to be remembered by the generations to come. Shame on you.

Jaycee: This is what they do best. The people in this party lack moral compass. They are good at fabricating lies and putting an innocent man to jail.

Meanwhile, they think that there is nothing wrong in plundering taxpayers’ money and they think that they are entitled to it all.

Legit: Pakatan should make this disgusting behaviour by these two love birds from Umno a campaign issue in the Permatang Pauh by-election.

Malaysians cannot tolerate this kind of cheap jokes in a public forum from its leaders. Hit the Umno scoundrels hard on this point and show the gentle and professional side of Wan Azizah in contrast.

This alone will drive a large number of voters away from Umno candidate Suhaimi Sabudin.
