MB, what’s there to understand about GST?

YOURSAY ‘Wouldn’t it be better not to vote BN and get rid of the new tax?’

Pahang MB: Vote BN to understand GST better

Abasir: "If Rompin voters choose Hasan Arifin as their parliamentarian, the BN candidate will be able to clear their misconceptions on GST (Goods and Services Tax), Pahang Menteri Besar Adnan Yaakob told reporters today in Rompin.”

To those who are making fun of ‘ Hand Signal ’ Adnan, take note. What he meant was that the code book on how to explain GST will be given to the Umno man only after he wins.

If he doesn't win, he will remain as stupid as the rest of the world. Now, what is wrong with that? GST is a secret only understood by Umno elected fellows. Like other secrets such as who ordered the killing of Altantuya Shaariibuu, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), etc.

Indeed, we should keep asking questions.

Cantabrigian: You can't even convince the people on GST, how on earth are you going to do it when you become an MP? I thought Umno-BN leaders cannot become more stupid than what they already are, but I was wrong.

Tholu: Mr MB of Pahang, you might as well keep your mouth shut about the GST.

Firstly, you are saying that the PM who mooted and introduced the new tax, the ministers in his cabinet who did not object to its implementation and all the top officers in the related government departments, have dismally failed to convince the rakyat on the goodness of the GST to the populace. You are saying only the candidate for the Rompin by-election can do it.

Secondly, you are so condescending to the extent of making the rakyat furious with your assumption that they are gullible to believe that you are using a prepaid phone. [We are all aware that your telephone bill (as well as your water and electricity bill) is taken care by the government coffers (which are actually our money)].

You see, Mr MB of Pahang, it is because of low intelligence and incompetent people like you - entrusted to craft a developed and successful future for our nation - that we are regressing in all aspects.

Multi Racial: Vote BN to understand GST better? Retirees who don't have income now have to pay GST for everything. Indeed, what is there to understand?

Bringon14: What kind of an idiot is this? Wouldn’t it be better not to vote BN and get rid of the GST?

Bamboo: Yes, what's there to understand about GST? GST leads to price increase and it burdens the people. GST is also to fatten Umno-BN elites' pockets.

Anonymous: I am scratching my head. If the candidate is worth my vote, he should be able to tell me all about GST which is causing so much anger in me.

Justine Gow: GST hits the pockets of all, no matter whether one is a supporter of BN or PKR and Malay or non-Malay.

Electing the BN candidate is not going to help anything, but voting against him will be a message of protest against GST.

GST bone of contention in Rompin by-election

Anonymous_1391693662: Voters in Rompin, you may think PAS will not be able to do any good for you. Yes, you are absolutely correct. They can't.

But despite all this, vote for PAS. Tell BN we are giving them three years to prove themselves, so when it comes to GE14, we can judge their credibility and reliability.

CQ Muar: “BN, as the longest ruling party in the nation, has all the required experience and ability when it comes to governance," Rompin candidate, Hassan Arifin, stressed.

Damn right, and no one can deny that. Being the longest ruling party, you've acquired all the skill and ability in the art of corruption - hoodwinking the innocent rural Malay folks.

The cheaper housing they offer now is only good as the by-election last. Thereafter, all will be back to square one.

Hasan will soon be pursuing his personal ambition and agenda by enriching himself. This had been the BN ruling ploy and gimmick since Merdeka. This new MP will be "too busy attending parliament and all the jazz" and have no time attending to voters' need.

Shortly after, you'd be witnessing him living in expensive mansions with luxurious cars for the entire family members. That will be the reality if voters in Rompin vote for BN.

Foodforthought: GST makes all essential items more expensive to the exact same extent for both the rich and the poor, adversely affecting equity in our society.

The pertinent words are “more expensive”.

Wira: GST brings fresh money for government under Najib to buy new jets. That's what GST can do.

Even former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad doesn't want GST. So if you want the government to roll back on GST, vote PAS for Rompin.
