CIMB chairperson, Nazir Razak today made an allusive post ‘Truth Next Exit’ on Instagram today, taken from the cover of a book by Michelle M Paiva adding “he hoped so”.

The youngest brother of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was referring to the self-help book titled 'Truth, Next Exit: No Excuses Scripture as your Personal Trainer and Life Coach'.

He further commented: “Our institutions must get us there quickly. Malaysians feeling truth deprived - depressing and divisive. After truth we can find reconciliation.”

When asked by another user whether the truth of the matter was if we were willing to turn off the exit, Nazir replied: “straight ahead is Orwellian society!”

George Orwell's groundbreaking novel 1984 describes a totalitarian state which exercised almost total control over the public and private activities of its citizens.

It is uncertain to whom Nazir was referring to but the top banker has been critical of his brother Najib's pet project 1MDB project, which is now subject to investigations by the auditor general and the Public Accounts Committee.

Nazir had earlier this month also questioned the delay in the 1MDB audit , which he said represented 'bad governance'.

"I am perplexed why your March 2015 audit has not even started. How is this allowed? Has standards of GLC governance dropped so low?" wrote Nazir.

The well known corporate figure was also reported in the Asia Sentinel last week to be interested in forming a political party but Nazir was quick to deny it but disclosed he has been discussing the setting up of a NGO to advocate moderation .
