YOURSAY ‘This is the sixth version of the RM2.6 billion mystery.’

Zahid: Arabs gave RM2.6b to keep Umno in rule

Ferdtan: Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, we don’t think you are telling the truth. If you want to protect your boss with the ‘half-truth’ then put your money where your mouth is - tell us the name of the ‘donor’.

Be specific. Don’t hint here and there; this is posturing. We want real evidence and proof. Better still, ask PM Najib Razak to come up with a statutory declaration to that effect, and this may end most of the speculations.

Zahid, if you dare to name the donor, and if it is found to be false, your reputation will be irreparably damaged.

The newly-minted DPM is obviously repaying a debt to his boss. Yet another case of “you help me, I help you.”

Yahoo: Zahid, when did you exactly meet the chief investment officer and wealth trustee of the Arab family? And why didn't you say so earlier?

Haven't you had enough shelling from the Johor crown prince?

Multi Racial: Since the expose by The Wall Street Journal , there has never been a day without lie coming from Umno leadership. My only comment is that it gets even more ridiculous.

Now it seem it is not just Najib, but Zahid is tainting his reputation for going to this extend to help his boss. Perhaps, like Umno leaders Shahrir Abdul Samad, Ahmad Mazlan and many others, he too is a major beneficiary of the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’.

Why didn't Zahid ask why Najib failed to report the money to the Umno supreme council? How was the money spent and where is the balance now, if any? Why the huge amount (about RM2 billion) was allegedly transferred back to Singapore?

Zahid should hire smarter aides so that he won't get himself sucked into this controversy. Now that he is involved in the matter and he is as guilty as Najib.

At least, former DPM Muhyiddin Yassin is smart enough to dissociate himself from the scandal. The truth will be out and eventually good prevails over evil.

Onyourtoes: Zahid, you are the home minister. You go figure out the implications of a single political party in Malaysia received such a large donation from one foreign donor.

You think we have permanent friends? You should ask your foreign minister, who said there was "no permanent friends or enemies, only permanent interests".

Asitis: "They want Umno and BN to continue ruling the country," Zahid told delegates at the Sri Gading Umno division annual meeting.

So now it seems a foreigner is trying to influence who helm the government of Malaysia. And Umno, through Najib, and now supported by Zahid, is letting this to happen.

Aren't they effectively sacrificing the sovereignty of the country?

Doc: Oh! Now I get the full picture, Zahid.

Just like to Jews are allegedly backing DAP to bring DAP into power in Malaysia and indirectly control Malaysia through DAP, the Saudis are donating tons of cash to Najib so he and Umno can use that donation money to buy elections and keep Umno in power so that Umno can be their stooge.

Thanks for this wonderful and totally logical explanation.

Anonymous_3e21: Indeed, how come Najib close the account and took away the bulk of the said donation for Umno?

As vice-president, you should protect Umno members’ interest first and foremost, but it seems you only want to protect your boss’ interest.

Come on, Zahid, you are really only making it worse for your boss and throwing the country into the abyss.

Justine Gow: "The Umno vice-president ... cited this as proof that no Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP) money had gone into Najib's accounts."

His explanation proves nothing. Illegal money does not necessarily travel the shortest route between two banks. It may travel through many proxies making one or more rounds around the globe before reaching its intended destination.

Sa Tombs: The spin doctor strikes again. If what you say is true, then you have just admitted that Umno is under the control of a single Arab family.

You and Umno are now confirmed to be foreign stooges. All this talk about DAP being the Israel stooges is cods wallop. How did you ever become a banker when your brains are so shallow?

This is the sixth version of the RM2.6 billion mystery. No one believes you anymore.

Turvy: Zahid is not telling the truth. The true story is that Najib found this bottle on the mudflats of Morib, where his ancestors used to land for fresh water and coconuts.

Najib rubbed the bottle and a putrid smell emitted from the bottle followed by this blue smoky creature that grew to the size of tree.

“Boss, you saved me. What you want, I give. Just ask, but in Arabic please,” the balloon-like creature said.

Najib said, “Give me RM2.6 billion to save all your blue brethren trapped in bottles.”

The blue thing said, “Sure, but take RM3 billion, I round up. Easier to send.”

“Nonononono,” said Najib. “Must be exactly RM2.6 billion. Can't get rounded figures past auditors.”

“Okie dokie, but you gotta keep the smell,” said creature.

“No problem, my party smells exactly the same - putrid.”

And that's the truth. I can make SD (statutory declaration) on that.

Would you believe Zahid’s story on RM2.6b?
