PAS: Outsiders 'shocked' Muslims want to topple Islamic K'tan gov't
Alex Raj: Why are the outsiders so shocked? Isn't Islamic State (IS) trying to bring down Muslim governments in Iraq and elsewhere?
Anyway, if a government is not righteous and does not bother about the people's welfare, why should it continue to rule? Get someone else who could do a better job, don't you agree?
Rick Teo: PAS acting spiritual leader Ahmad Yakob is as usual talking nonsense. Is Iraq, Syria, Eygpt, Yemen, Afghanistan all not Muslim countries? Then why are the people there trying to overthrow their Islamic government?
Tok Karut: I doubt Palestinians are in shock (at Kelantan's infighting). People who have been at war, losing families and friends, have been recorded to not want hudud in their governance systems.
The Turks have had centuries of rule where religion is managed in the private sphere.
They are very content with that scheme, such that the Islamic party in government had to reform itself inside out on matters of religion. It does not make Turks any less Muslim.
Many of them are proud to identify themselves as Muslim and do not trust the state/government with religion. Good try PAS, maybe PAS members are ignorant of the outside world.
MA: Hello, spiritual leader Ahmad Yakob, the Muslims in any given country fight among themselves, for example the Sunnis and Shias, and who do you think the IS are butchering everyday - their own countrymen and anything that comes in between.
Anonymous #13114320: A number of Islamic countries have had wars and civil unrest, with Muslims fighting Muslim governments. So Ahmad Yakob, please don't fool everyone and make a fool of yourself.
Appum: Ahmad Yakob, you can bluff and trick your rural Kelantanese but you can't trick all Malays today, and Malaysians for that matter.
Kelantan is a failed state with no obvious progress and economic improvement for its people there after decades of PAS' self-proclaimed Islamic rule.
Your people are running to Selangor and the west coast states to look for jobs. Which people from Turkey were you talking to? From Turkish people I know, they are very proud of their secular status even though Muslims are the majority there.
As for Palestine, why are their people running away to Western countries to settle down? Look at the Syrians, Iraqis, Yemenis, people from African Islamic states, they are all running to Christian countries like Germany, France, Holland, Norway, Sweden, UK, etc.
Can you explain that? Why don't they run to Kelantan?
Fair Play: If you are incapable of being honest with us, at least be honest with yourself. Are these Muslim activists shocked, or are you yourself shocked into paralysis as a result of droves of Muslims who had abandoned their homeland and sought refuge in the European Union and elsewhere?
I suppose Kelantan is a model Muslim state in your view, but it has nothing to show in terms of economic development.
Headhunter: So what is so great about the PAS Kelantan government? The state is poor and backward. Corruption is as prevalent as in other corrupt states. And the state government is run by dinosaurs who don't practice what they preach.
Anonymous_1419577444: Would a real Muslim government continue to wipe out the state's forest reserve with indiscriminate logging and displace thousands of Orang Asli?
There's a long list of things about the Kelantan government in addition to these.
Dex: Is Kelantan a progressive, dynamic and industrialised state? If the answer is no, then it is time to change the administration. This is because Kelantan has all it needs to progress beyond expectations.
New Dawn: In the past elections, PAS won because of the late, humble and clean spiritual leader and ex-Kelantan MB tok guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat.
Kelantan Malays may be conservative, but not stupid and would not fall for cheap political propaganda.
Wild Stallion: This is a diversionary tactic by PAS again. It's not an Islamic government people are seeking to topple in Kelantan, it's a corrupt, backward, visionless and uncaring government that needs to go.
Hardboiled: Why can't Muslims change the government? Can a Muslim leader live forever? Why can't a new generation of Muslims take the helm?
Spinnot: Indeed, by this man's 'logic', Muslim Party A should not contest against a ruling Muslim Party B in a general election.
Responsible Malaysian: One party can offer nothing but manipulating the people through fake religious issues to stay in power. Another party can only make use of racial issues to stay in power so as to enrich themselves.
How much longer can the people be fooled?
