Several media organisations have reported that the posters have been placed dear DAP's service centre at Taman Nusa Perintis, Gelang Patah.
"Last seen in Gelang Patah during 505 promising heaven and earth. Last known hobby was hanging out with people aged 90 and above. Missing for months if not years already. Please help to locate. We miss him a lot," read the posters.
According to The Star, a separate banner nearby bore the words "Where is Uncle Lim Kit Siang? Gelang Patah misses you".
History repeating itself
Gelang Patah Umno division chief Khairi A Malik told The Star that BN had nothing to do with the posters and instead suggested that "disgruntled people" who voted for Lim might be the culprits.
"We hope he will not contest in another constituency in the next general election as I believe voters here want to teach him a lesson," he said.
Gelang Patah MCA division chief Jason Teoh said this was a case of history repeating itself as voters had also questioned Lim's availability when he was the Ipoh Timur MP.
During the 2014 Teluk Intan by-election, Gerakan Youth member Rich Too distributed 100 copies of similar posters to the voters.
Meanwhile, Gerakan Youth chief Tan Keng Liang urged Lim to reveal how many days have he spent in the Gelang Patah constituency.
"Let's wait for his response before making assumptions," wrote Tan on Twitter.
