Taiwan Asean Music Action Online Symposium

After an 18-month hiatus, concerts, festivals, and tours are expected to return to their pre-pandemic glory. As vaccination rates rise and governments relax their pandemic regulations, the recovery of the event ecosystem is happening faster than expected. Events professionals see the number of events and event attendance reaching and potentially surpassing pre-pandemic levels in 2019. But that recovery is contingent on a number of factors, including how effective the vaccine program is, the nature of the events themselves, and where they are located. What exactly that recovery will look like depends on a variety of factors.

The question is — what will the future of concerts and touring look like after the pandemic?

Join TAMA’s online symposium for a discussion on “Post Pandemic Touring in Taiwan and South East Asia”, with speakers Orbis Fu, the head honcho of Taiwan’s newly established music label Tron Music Agency, and Akilesh, the lead programmer of Singapore’s largest indie music festival ‘Baybeats’. Also on the panel are Malaysian singer-songwriter Azmyl Yunor and Eddie Mellor, the founder of Speakerbox – an independent live house in Bangkok, and last but not least, Joff Cruz from Vietnam, the man behind Swan Zoo, a Hanoi-based promoter that organizes concerts for international indie acts.

The forum will be hosted by Azzief Khaliq, he is the editor of TAMA and The Wknd Session, and a contributing writer to NME Asia.

The virtual talk will be streamed live on TAMA’s official Facebook page, on Friday, 29th October, at 8pm (GMT +8)
