Hankook Tire have announced the launch of two of the company’s most important new car tyre products in Malaysia. Described as representing the very best of Hankook’s technology and innovation. The new Ventus evo and the Dynapro HT2 were introduced on August 22 to a gathering of media, influencers and dealers at event held initially at the Setia City Convention Centre outdoor parking area, where participants were treated to a mini test drive of the Ventus evo, and afterwards at the Courtyard Setia Alam Hotel, where the two tyres were launched officially.

During the launch event, Hankook Tire Malaysia’s Managing Director Oh Hyun Nam explained the importance of the dual launch, which introduced the very latest in Hankook technology, to two diverse customer groups, namely those seeking premium sports performance on the one hand and those for whom comfort and durability is the main purchasing factor on the other.

“The Ventus evo stands at the pinnacle of our ultra-high-performance range, engineered for drivers who demand precision, control, and confidence at every turn,” he said. “The Dynapro HT2, meanwhile, is designed to meet the rising needs of premium SUVs, delivering comfort, safety, and stability without compromise. Together, they are symbols of Hankook’s commitment to advancing mobility through high technology.”
The launch event was more than just a product launch, though. It was used by Hankook as a means of cementing the Korean company’s position as a global innovation leader in the tyre sector.
“Over the past few years, we have all witnessed how quickly the Malaysian market is evolving,” said Oh. “Drivers here are more sophisticated, more demanding, and increasingly aware of premium choices.

“Globally, Hankook is already a top-tier brand, trusted by leading car manufacturers and millions of drivers. Here in Malaysia, our mission is clear. We aim to strengthen that premium image, to grow together with you, and to establish Hankook as the first choice for performance, technology, and reliability,” he added.
Hankook were particularly keen to use the event as a clarion call to the company’s dealer network to push the company to the next level. This was clear by the importance given during the event to the presentation of numerous awards to recognise the achievements of the company’s top performing dealers and partner distributors.
This was emphasised by Oh, who, talking directly to the dealer network, laid out Hankook’s aims in the Malaysian market:
“As we launch Ventus evo and Dynapro HT2 today, we are not only introducing new tyres — we are opening a new chapter in Hankook’s growth story in Malaysia, together with you,” he said.
“I want every one of you to feel confident that Hankook will continue to invest in innovation, to bring more cutting-edge products to market, and to support you in building a stronger, more profitable business.
