KUALA LUMPUR, 24 September 2025 – ZUS COFFEE, Malaysia’s fastest-growing homegrown coffee chain, today announced the launch of ZUS NGUPI®️ Can, a ready-to-drink (RTD) innovation designed to bring the bold, authentic taste of Malaysian kopi into a modern, convenient format.
The launch marks a pivotal milestone for ZUS COFFEE as it expands beyond its café network into the FMCG segment. FMCG extends ZUS COFFEE’s presence from cafés into homes and daily routines, enabling the brand to reach millions of Malaysians beyond its stores and paving the way for export opportunities.

A Celebration of Kopi Culture

As a proudly local brand, ZUS COFFEE has chosen to celebrate Malaysia’s kopi culture through flavours that are deeply ingrained in daily life. “Every kopitiam in Malaysia runs on a handful of hero SKUs that never go out of fashion – kopi o, kopi kaw, kopi putih, and variations that balance strength with sweetness,” Ng added. “These are the drinks Malaysians order daily, across generations. Four Flavours, One Malaysian Identity
ZUS NGUPI®️ Can debuts with four distinctly Malaysian flavours inspired by kopitiam culture:
Klasik – Medium intensity, with a milky and caramelised profile.
Kopi Tarik – A creamy take on Malaysia’s most iconic “pulled” coffee.
Kopi Coklat – A rich, chocolate-infused coffee with a smooth smoky finish.
White Coffee – Buttery, full-bodied, and luxuriously creamy.

FMCG as a Growth Engine
While ZUS COFFEE’s cafés remain the heart of the brand experience, its FMCG business is positioned to be a powerful growth driver. Over the next three to five years, FMCG – led by NGUPI®️ Can and other upcoming innovations – is expected to contribute 20–30% of the company’s total revenue, powered by mass distribution and strong repeat purchase.
The brand’s strategy is to meet consumers where they already are – supermarkets, petrol stations, convenience stores, and online marketplaces. Since entering the FMCG market last year, ZUS COFFEE has been working closely with distribution partners to secure nationwide coverage. Beyond Malaysia, the company sees strong export potential, particularly across Southeast Asia and in markets with a strong Malaysian diaspora.

Availability
From September 2025, ZUS NGUPI®️ Can in four flavours – Klasik, Kopi Tarik, Kopi Coklat, and White Coffee – will be available at major convenience stores, supermarkets, petrol stations, and nationwide retailers, with expansion to online marketplaces and international markets to follow.
