Selangor CXO Club Returns to Navigate AI, Capital and Growth

Sidec launched the Selangor CXO Club 2025 at Menara AFFIN @ TRX, with AFFIN Group as Main Sponsor. Framed as an execution-room rather than a talking shop, the members-only series convenes senior leaders in small, off-the-record settings to pressure-test financing strategies, governance at scale, capital-market options, founder–investor dynamics, and near-term AI adoption that actually moves the P&L.

This is an execution room,” said Yong Kai Ping, Chief Executive Officer of Sidec. “Sharpen the strategy, warm up the capital, and move. The Club exists to collapse the distance between intent and outcome.”

The programme blends private roundtables, expert-led sessions, investor–founder dialogues, Capital Strategy Workshops, Coaching Corners and matching clinics—formats built to end with decisions, not decks. Each engagement closes with a board-ready takeaway and follow-through actions.

Running over a 12-month editorial arc—Ignition → Acceleration → Growth—the Club focuses on practical leadership challenges, from winning the capital game and aligning alliances that scale, to digital transformation in action and customer-centric growth.

The launch day sets a finance-first tone: board-level economic signals, business transformation from a financial lens, a “game-changer” dialogue on corporate & SME financing in a digital economy, and rapid coaching to translate discussion into next steps. The aim is to turn warm conversations into bankable options leaders can carry back to the boardroom.

Anchoring the rooms is an indicative bench of Supercoaches—operators and investors with track records across ASEAN scale-ups, public listings and early-stage bets in category leaders. Names include Low Ngai Yuen (AEON Malaysia), Paramjit Singh (Exsim Group), Dr. Jeff Lim (Luckin Coffee) and Mohd Atasha (Alphaus Inc). Their brief is simple: de-risk decisions, open doors and sanity-check execution in real time.

The CXO Club is designed around decision-useful formatsFireside Chats, Expert Masterclasses, Capital Strategy Workshops, Investor Matching Clinics, Coaching Corners, and C-level Roundtables—to move beyond general panels and into targeted problem-solving. Each month’s theme culminates in an action checklist mapped to financing, governance, markets or technology adoption.

Beyond the room, Sidec supports momentum with peer access and experienced advisor networks and a practical partner-perks stack engineered to help teams execute between sessions.

The Club’s recent engagements balance strategic depth with insider access:

  • CXO Club x Microsoft Malaysia — An exclusive session on cloud, AI and digital innovation, paired with high-trust networking (yes, including a quintessentially local durian mixer).

  • Priority access to a Taiwan innovation trip — Exposure to tech hubs, regional partnerships and cross-border opportunities, underscoring the Club’s global outlook.

These touchpoints illustrate the Club’s rhythm: informed outlooks, practical financing pathways, and curated ecosystems where relationships mature into working collaborations.

The Club convenes CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, CMOs and senior leaders from SSM-registered companies with material operating footprints—leaders seeking sharper capital strategy, disciplined execution, and realistic AI adoption. The governing idea is trusted access in a confidential, small-room setting that favours candour and speed.
