SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 honours Malaysia’s top SMEs for export excellence and innovation

KUALA LUMPURSME Venture@ASEAN 2025 concluded on 18 October 2025 with the presentation of the inaugural SME Venture@ASEAN Awards, recognising three Malaysian enterprises for their exceptional achievements in business performance, innovation, and export competitiveness.

Recognising Excellence Through SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 Awards

SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 was recognised by ASEAN Records as the Largest ASEAN SME Trade Event 2025. The highlight of the event was the presentation of SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 Awards during the closing ceremony. The Awards recognised SMEs that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in business performance and export growth particularly over the past two years.

Three Malaysian enterprises were honoured for their excellence, innovation, and impact:

  • Outstanding SME Award:

Ventura IOT Sdn. Bhd. is Malaysia’s first to integrate Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) with Smart CCTV and autonomous drone systems, providing advanced surveillance solutions to major oil and gas clients including PETRONAS, ExxonMobil, and PETROVIETNAM. The company achieved an export value of RM10.3 million in 2024. Ventura IOT Sdn Bhd is a 4-star company under the SME Competitiveness Rating for Enhancement (SCORE), a rating programme by SME Corp. Malaysia and among the top 5 recipients of the Enterprise 50 (E50) Award 2024.

  • Outstanding Women SME Award:

Based in Penang, CG Global Profastex Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. offers one-stop contract electronic manufacturing (CEM) and electronic manufacturing services (EMS). With 95% of its production exported to the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, France, and China, it recorded an export value of RM7.7 million. The company also obtained a 4-star rating under SCORE and was awarded the Best E50 Award for Exporter.

  • Outstanding Youth SME Award:

Rodrell Sdn. Bhd., under its Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ) initiative, empowers women from B40 communities through sewing and upcycling programmes that transform textiles into handcrafted products. The company exemplifies Malaysia’s social entrepreneurship spirit by promoting economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods. The company recorded sales turnover amounting to RM1.3 million in 2024. Rodrell is also one of the Principal IB Companies under the Inclusive Business Value Chain Development Initiative (IB-VCDI) by SME Corp. Malaysia.

These companies were evaluated based on their strong financial performance, innovative capacity, and contribution to Malaysia’s SME landscape, with a particular focus on annual sales and export achievements. The award recipients represent the diversity, resilience, and global ambition of Malaysia’s SME sector.

Advancing Malaysia’s SME Agenda

SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 was held in conjunction with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship and served as a strategic platform to strengthen regional collaboration and market access for SMEs.

Organised by SME Corp. Malaysia, the three-day event attracted more than 16,000 visitors and generated RM520 million in potential sales through 424 business matching sessions. The event featured 370 exhibitors from high-impact sectors and consumer industries, including 62 international exhibitors from ASEAN and beyond. The event also facilitated RM70 million in funding through the Pitch2Go session and convened more than 500 participants in two forums namely the ESG Forum and ASEAN SME Forum 2025.

SME Corp. Malaysia continues to champion the growth of local enterprises through targeted programmes in capacity building, digitalisation, and market access, ensuring that Malaysian SMEs remain competitive and resilient in a rapidly evolving ASEAN marketplace.
