MKN, MPAT and MTAT graduation ceremonies are held together, today

The graduation ceremony for 270 students from the National Resilience College (MKN), the Armed Forces Defence College (MPAT) and the Armed Forces Staff College (MTAT) took place simultaneously, today.

Minister of Defence (MENHAN), Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin officiated the graduation ceremony for the 2025 session at the Main Auditorium, National Centre of Defence Studies (PUSPAHANAS), Putrajaya.

Also participating in the graduation ceremony were Diplomatic Administrative Officers (PTD) from ministries and government agencies, namely the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM) and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).

The graduates involved consisted of Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) officers covering all three branches of service, namely the Malaysian Army (TDM), Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) and Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM), including officers from foreign armed forces.

For the first session, MENHEN completed the awarding of MKN course certificates and badges to 24 MKN students for series 6/2025, consisting of 17 senior officers with the rank of Brigadier General and Colonel equivalent from all three branches of service as well as 7 senior officers from foreign countries.

MKN is the only institution that specifically discusses the nine pillars of the National Security Policy as well as serves as a platform to promote the Whole of Government Approach and emphasize security awareness.

The second session oversaw the awarding of Master of Social Sciences (Defense Studies) along with MPAT certificates and badges to 70 students for series 45/2025, comprising of senior officers ranked Lieutenant Colonel equivalent to all three branches of the ATM service, 5 senior officers from foreign armed forces as well as a senior officer from the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), a senior officer from the APMM and two senior officers from the Public Service Department (JPA).

MPAT aims to produce senior military and civilian officers who can interact efficiently with government bodies, academics and intellectuals in defence and security aspects.

The final session concluded with the awarding of diplomas alongside MTAT certificates and badges to 176 MTAT students for series 54/2025 with the rank of major and equivalent to all three branches of the ATM service, 33 foreign military officers and one senior APMM officer.

MTAT aims to produce quality leaders who are skilled to plan, implement the dimensions of warfare and manage resources in the domain of joint warfare.

Also present were the Chief of the Defence Forces, General Tan Sri Mohd Nizam bin Jaffar; Chief of the Army, General Tan Sri Datuk Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain bin Jantan; Chief of the Navy, Admiral Tan Sri Dr. Zulhelmy bin Ithnain; Chief of the Air Force, General Datuk Sri Muhamad Norazlan bin Aris; President of PUSPAHANAS, Vice Admiral Datuk Sabri bin Zali; defence attaches and senior ATM as well as civilian officers.
