Edumaax Education Group (EEG), powered by MAA Group Berhad, proudly announced that it will be opening a new school in January 2026. EEG has partnered with Cheltenham College, one of the prestigious and well-known institutions in the United Kingdom, to bring 180 years of outstanding British education to Kuala Lumpur!

Soon, the people of Klang Valley will be able to experience Cheltenham College International School Kuala Lumpur (CCKL). CCKL will be located at the heart of the city and is easily accessible. It is right beside the LRT and MRT Chan Sow Lin station, with a connected bridge, and takes about 3 to 8 minutes of walking to reach the building.

The school organised a networking event where they invited families to give them a tour of the school. It was also a time for the school to build connections and trust with the families.

Tunku Dato’ Yaacob Khyra, chairman of CCKL, said, “As an old boy of Cheltenham College, their 5C’s principles which are curiosity, creativity, character, community and continuous excellence, have guided me throughout my life, and I aim to offer this tradition to your children.”

These 5C’s principles, or frequently referred to as Cheltenham Potential, have been the guiding principle for Cheltenham students for years.

Curiosity: By demonstrating intellectual and academic rigour through independent learning.

Creativity: By developing interest and talent both within and beyond the classroom.

Character: By harnessing an attitude to succeed in today’s complex society through sound judgement, compassion, and integrity.

Community: Through a commitment to the service of others and a readiness to contribute to the common good.

Continuous Excellence: By not giving up and understanding that ‘hard work conquers all’.

Anne Rajasaikaran, CEO of CCKL, shared, “Our parent institution, Cheltenham College, serves as one of the UK’s leading independent schools, with 750 students from across the UK and beyond. It has earned the highest accolades for its excellence, as recently confirmed by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, which praised both the College and Cheltenham Prep School for being ‘Excellent in All Areas.’”

After Cheltenham College in the UK which has been operating since 1841, and Cheltenham Muscat in Oman which started operating in 2021, CCKL will be the third Cheltenham branch.
