As millions of Malaysians prepare to return to their hometowns for the Aidilfitri celebrations, road safety has become a top priority, with the number of vehicles on highways expected to reach up to 3.49 million per day during peak periods.
In response to the significant surge in traffic flow, FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV), in collaboration with the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) of PDRM, recently launched Op Selamat 26 at SOGO Kuala Lumpur.
The initiative aims to improve traffic flow while raising public awareness on the importance of responsible driving. The event also reflects FGV’s support for ongoing efforts by authorities to ensure a safe journey for those travelling back to their hometowns.
The launch ceremony saw participation from various stakeholders, including enforcement agencies, underscoring a collaborative approach towards enhancing road safety.
2,000 packs of bubur lambuk distributed

A total of 2,000 packs of bubur lambuk were prepared and distributed to traffic police personnel and the public around Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman.
According to Azmi Yaakop, Chief Strategic Communications Officer of FGV Holdings Berhad, the programme was carried out under the company’s corporate social responsibility initiative, “FGV Seikhlas Hati”.
The initiative recognises the dedication and sacrifices of traffic police personnel, who continue to perform their duties with steadfast commitment. It also underscores the importance of strategic collaboration between the corporate sector and enforcement agencies in promoting the well-being of society.
He further noted that the bubur lambuk was prepared using a range of FGV products, namely SAJI Aroma Fragrant Rice, Gula Prai, SAJI Cooking Oil, SAJI Coconut Milk and SAJI Mountain Salt.
Contributions to those in need

As part of its Ramadan outreach, contributions were extended to 40 recipients comprising widows, orphans, and persons with disabilities (OKU). Each recipient received RM200 in cash along with essential items including rice, cooking oil, ketupat, creamer, sugar, salt, and margarine.
In addition, 150 children of traffic police personnel received duit raya as a token of appreciation for their families.
This initiative reflects FGV’s core values under its P.R.I.D.E framework—Collaboration, Respect, Integrity, Dynamism, and Enthusiasm—while reinforcing the company’s commitment to community well-being.
FGV believes that success is not solely measured by financial performance, but also by meaningful contributions to the community, particularly in areas where the company operates.
In conjunction with Aidilfitri, FGV hopes that these contributions will bring joy and ease the burden of recipients, enabling them to celebrate the festive season more meaningfully with their families.
Focus on high-risk areas

Datuk Seri Muhammed Hasbullah Ali, Director of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), stated that this year’s operation carries the theme “Kongsi Perjalanan, Kongsi Keselesaan, Keselamatan Diutamakan”.
He explained that the deployment of personnel is based on a detailed analysis of high-risk areas identified in advance. From this analysis, 34 locations have been designated as traffic “hotspots,” where congestion is likely to occur, while another 25 locations have been classified as “blackspots,” areas with a high frequency of accidents.
The organisation of Op Selamat 26, in collaboration with FGV, is expected to further enhance road users’ awareness, encouraging more prudent driving behaviour while ensuring a safer journey home for the festive season.
