The Court of Appeal today dismissed an application by former deputy premier Anwar Ibrahim for bail pending his appeal against a sodomy conviction.

The jailed politician is allowed two hours with his family. He solemnises the marriage, prays for an end to the family's 'cruel fate', jokes with the newlyweds and leaves for prison.
