They say the sea is always at peace just moment before the storm sets in. It is as though god is playing a cruel joke on us mankind, luring us with a false sense of security.

Yesterday, Oct 7, 2015, it was reported that the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) system which was supposed to be implemented by end of the year has now been deferred, with no new date being set.

The haze situation is getting from bad to worse. Already the Education Ministry has been forced to announce closure of schools for the second successive week. Many outdoor activities including the Standard Chartered KL Marathon were also forced to be cancelled due to the deteriorating air quality condition.

What is law? Simply put, law is a manifestation of acceptable social norms with sanction for non-compliance.

Someone once told me a story.

Aug 26, 2014, shall be remembered as a day of infamy in Kulai history. On that fateful day last Tuesday, more than 1,000 Nepalese workers ran riot and set fire to the factory buildings and vehicles in the compound of a listed company at Batu 25, Kulaijaya.
