An intellectual should be an engaged individual, one who not only reflects but also acts on his ideas. This means someone who not merely speaks to the public or for the public, but with the public.

As long as there's life, there's hope. To enlightened people, no matter how frustrated or stressed you are, do continue to fight the good fight.

For Umno to thwart the threat from PAS, it has to create a new bumiputera lifestyle, o­ne that is based o­n meritocracy, o­n equal rights with all and for all communities.

Before politicians can consider educating children on morality and unity, they should first practise what they aim to preach. As long as children read, hear and witness discrimination, threats and deceit, such classroom lessons are worthless.
