A contest for the Umno deputy presidency is now on the cards after Mohd Ali Rustam secured enough nominations to run against Muhyiddin Yassin.

Umno president Abdullah Ahmad Badawi urged party division leaders in Selangor yesterday to support the 2010 transition plan, but only received conditional support.
