I would like to clarify that the reason that the villagers in Matunggong, who were reported to be taking muddy water from the drying river, was not due to an insufficient water supply in their village, but it is because of poverty. It has been widely reported that the villagers were too poor and simply cannot afford to pay the connection costs for basic water supply.
