We are shocked that the Penang state executive council meeting yesterday adopted three resolutions, as announced by Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, which had no relevance whatsoever to the people’s welfare. Clearly the meeting can be considered as an entry into the Malaysia Book of Records as the most unaccountable meeting!

When Lim Guan Eng claimed that it was useless to meet with MCA president Liow Tiong Lai, who is the newly-appointed Transport Minister, on the construction of a new runway for the Penang International Airport, he should first ask himself why he is a failed chief minister and what use does he have to Penang?

I welcome the initiative by a joint committee headed by Ministers in the Prime Minister’s Department Nancy Shukri and Jamil Khir Baharom formed in April this year to help resolve the tussles in interfaith marriage issue because only through moderate administration under the Barisan Nasional (BN), can we resolve sensitive religious issues once and for all.

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng does not even have the courage to join MCA in objecting against the implementation of hudud, how can he bring DAP to leave Pakatan Rakyat for the sake of the people’s interests and stop being in cahoots with PAS in taking over Putrajaya?
