This is a reply to M Kulasegaran, P Uthayakumar and P Waythamoorthy on issues related to the Indian Malaysian community in Malaysia.

Politicians generally thrive on make-believe ‘feel good’ and ‘wayang kulit’ factors as their life support. However the Umno elite and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak appear to be the grandmasters, with the latest being the RM260 million ‘feel good’ Deepavali goodies budget, but which is a mere 0.01 percent of the RM260 billion 2017 National Budget announced last week.

This Sunday MIC is going to have its 70th general assembly. After Dr S Subramaniam consolidated his power by sidelining his predecessor, he is moving to another phase of transition as the leader of the oldest Indian Malaysian political party in the government of Malaysia.

I would like to refer to the recent comment by Sara Petra that Indian Malaysians should turn to Gerakan if they felt MIC had failed them. Her comment shows that the young girl is naive and immature when she talks about politics. While I don't undermine the young people who like to get involved in political debates, I also would like to point out that they should carefully analyse their points before they making any biased comments.

COMMENT | Najib has given more - but he must realise that relying on MIC to understand Indian problems is itself a major problem.
