I refer to your blog posting entitled ‘ Bahaya matlamat menghalalkan cara '.

I believe everyone in the nation, Malays, Chinese, Indians and others are eager to get to the bottom of Teoh Beng Huat tragic demise.

Therefore, his death should not be exploited for personal gains or be used to forward someone's personal agenda.

When you said Teoh should be punished as he left behind an unborn son out of wedlock, it did not really help the family and the nation.

I believe you said it for your personal gain and to be in the limelight and as another Islamic fighter in the eyes of your Islamic peers.

Who are you to judge a person if he is wrong or right, if he can enter heaven or hell? Who are you to question the couple personal lives and behaviour?

They are non-Muslims and you are Muslim. By your own admission, the yardstick to measure if a person is sinful or not differs from religion to religion and are completely different.

By publicly declaring that they have sinned, did not help anyone, but only added salt to the grieving families's wounds.

Is this the religious education taught to you since you converted?

Another issue that you touched on in the article is the "Kesatuan Melayu". I'm aghast that as an academician in a University, you can spew such notions.

First, you said the groups that criticised you did not really understand the Malay culture and that they are obsessed with their own culture despite having moved here long time ago.

But my answer is that these are groups of people not exposed to Sejarah Melayu in their education? They studied tamadun Islam up to university level?

They cannot enter a non-halal restaurant when they are with Muslim friends, and so on. Did not the group that you so faithfully protect study tamadun of the other groups? Did they not learn their language, enter their eateries, learnt their culture.

So which group really does not understand which group? You make the conclusion.

Second, you said "Ketuanan Melayu" is justified as it is a symbol of Malay identity, but on the other hand you are advocating for assimilation and nation-building.

How can you say "Ketuanan Melayu" is misinterpreted by certain parties as racial supremacy over other races? How sure are you that the term isn't being used to mean exactly that?

And if we want a united Malaysia, why is Ketuanan Melayu still being mentioned? Can this term be a stumbling block to the racial assimilation in our country?

I think yes, as who wants to be with another race if he is discriminated upon as alien and treated like a second class citizen?

You are trying to say this is not a personal attack, but the Chinese are unhappy with you because of your article. You are actually creating tension in our multiracial society.

And the funniest part is that you are Chinese.
