I refer to the Malaysiakini report Swinging Pakatan to Putra Jaya .

It is indeed good to know that Pakatan Rakyat is thinking about this matter and I hope seriously. The most important aspect of this exercise should be vetting of the candidates both for federal and State constituencies all over the country.

They should be vetted, among others, for capabilities, knowledge, education, devotion and inclination to national and public service, integrity, experience and their non-racial and non-religious approach to nation-building.

They should be made aware of the Pakatan Rakyat's common ideology and they should be of impeccable and tough character.

Pakatan has no time to waste in this regard as extremist characters like its Kulim MP Zulkifli Noordin have to be removed.

There should also not be people who will succumb to corruption. Be prepared to go after both the corrupt and those with a missionary zeal.

There should be no quotas based on race when selecting candidates to represent the people. Go for the best. Our people are ready for such an administration and government and we deserve it.

For Malaysia's prosperity and secure future we need a government like Singapore’s, in short. Go for it, Pakatan.
