I was having problems with my Astro services and called Astro customer service. They told me their technician would call me back, and gave the report number.
They said the Astro technician would call me back and that it was essential that he quote the report number before making an appointment with me, as verification.
The technician called me and quoted the number. I felt secure and relived, certain that no other person could have obtained the report number otherwise.
He did not turn up for the first appointment. Then the second appointment, he turned up, charged me a certain amount for repairs.
That night, again my Astro service malfunctioned. When I called Astro, they claimed not to know who the technician was.
Instead, they assigned me another technician and I was angry. The bogus technician could have compromised my safety but Astro took the matter lightly.
The new Astro technician assigned to me claimed Astro knew of this intruder but could not pinpoint the leak within Astro.
He even knew the bogus technician's name. He claimed this bogus technician had hoodwinked many other Astro customers.
I further confirmed his tale by calling customer service again. They reluctantly admitted that they have been aware of this bogus technician for some months now.
I am badly shaken to know that Astro had been aware of the leak in Astro and never took the necessary safety measures to safeguard the customer.
Astro has compromised the safety of my family and children by being negligent. I could have been either robbed or raped.
To make matters worse, Astro said they had to get approval to reimburse the money I paid to this bogus technician despite acknowledging that it was their error and negligence. They eventually did reimburse me but seemed unconcerned of my plight.
In total, I had to take three days leave to just repair Astro service and bear the risk of being robbed, raped or even murdered due to Astro's negligence.
It is pointless for Astro to keep raising their prices when they provide such bad service and put their customers at risk of danger.
