I refer to Malaysiakini report Rosmah has no time for lies, gossip .

Finally, someone has managed to raise the ire of the First Lady by asking pointed question about her involvement in a gruesome murder case and her weekend spending in the shopping paradise of Dubai where it was alleged that someone had wired her RM600,000 through a local money changer which was subsequently closed down by Bank Negara.

The allegation by an opposition member of Parliament about the illegal transfer of money to Rosmah while she was in Dubai by illegal means has all the documentary proof which is difficult to ignore.

‘Lies, dammed lies and statistics’ do not apply in the situation here and as long as the First Couple does not come clean on the ‘albatrosses’ hanging around their necks. The rule of law is applicable to all in this country but if the rich and powerful trample on the law with impunity, we are no better off than Zimbabwe where the ‘law of the jungle’ reigns supreme.

One tends to wonder why doesn’t Bank Negara work in tandem with the Inland Revenue Department to investigate how the super rich and corrupt people manage to siphon their millions out of this country without using our banking system and how on earth did these ‘special people’ manage to accumulate such big sum in the first place.

Other ‘big shots’ too have circumvented the country’s law by transferring their wealth by using money changers and not through our banking system to avoid being question by Bank Negara officers on how they obtained their wealth.

Mind you, our Treasury will now have a tough time balancing their 2010 budget as Petronas, a cash cow for the government to fund development, has seen their revenue drop drastically due to world oil prices which have slumped.

The Inland Revenue Department should work out with Bank Negara to determine those who transferred their money overseas and determine the source of their wealth, Those who obtained such wealth illegally or who undeclared their incomes should be heavily fined and this money used to fund development.

Then there is the shameful incident of the stolen RMAF fighter jet engines. This is unbelievable as our country’s defence has been compromised. To think that it happened during the current prime minister’s watch while he was the defence minister cum deputy premier does not instill confidence in him at all.

David Copperfield, the great magician, will be impressed with how some traitors in the armed forces managed to do a ‘magic show’ and smuggle out fighter jet engines out of the country without any hitches. Only in Bolehland do you find such rubbish.

We, Malaysians deserve better leadership than the present one. Voters, use your votes wisely when the next general election is held to stop the rot from getting worse by the day.
