No level-playing field in varsity entrance

It is really a shame that the government has denied many non-bumiputeras a place in local universities through the so-called meritocracy system. Where is the level-playing field between the matriculation examination, an internal examination vis-a-vis the STP examination, which is of universal application for entry to the universities.
The fact that qualified students who are non-bumiputeras are not being granted courses of their choice is evident of social engineering by the government of the day, which is an affront to human rights.
The time has come for the government not to treat non-bumiputeras as second-class citizens. Get rid of that 'apartheid' mentality that was practised by South Africa for decades.
