Compare these two political events:

1) An Umno/BN gathering attended by Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to launch the Terengganu BN election machinery in the school compound, conducted in daytime, attended by thousands and it is in the state of Terengganu which is controlled by PAS. The police were very cooperative with the organisers of the event.

2) A Keadilan night gathering conducted at the Keadilan office compound for the Free Anwar campaign, in the state of Perak which is controlled by BN/Umno. The police were very aggressive towards the organisers.

Even a Hari Raya open house conducted by PAS in Section 18 Shah Alam, in the BN/Umno-controlled state of Selangor was dispersed by the police and the Federal Reserve Unit. Do we need a police permit to conduct an open house during the festive season?

So let us compare these incidents and think, which political party (Umno/BN or PAS) is more tolerant and more open? Have the police acted fairly or is this double standards?
