BlueRider, to a certain extent I do agree with your views on Malay special rights. However I wish to divert and draw our attention here to the importance of getting all Malaysians to be more educated.

Education can equip people to be able to read more, then know more and hunger to acquire even more knowledge. Ability to read will not only enhance knowledge but broaden our views and the way to see things.

While we dwell on the issue of Malay special rights, I think Malaysians are looking at a microscopic view. The world is now talking about China and how it will affect US and other countries in Asia.

The world is certainly about survival of the fittest. To quote a sentence from Mahathir's book, The Malay Dilemma : "Hunger and starvation, a common feature in countries like China, were unknown in Malaya. Under these conditions everyone survived. Even the weakest and least diligent were able to live in comparative comfort, to marry and procreate".

I would say Malays now cannot afford to be too complacent. Going forward, if we Malaysians are not striving hard to prove our competitiveness, very soon we will fall behind other countries. The real competition is not between Malay and Chinese.

If Malaysia is seeking to transform from a developing country to a develop country, I think all Malaysians have a role to play. All Malaysians need to be motivated and encouraged to move and work as a team.

I love nasi lemak and I dare say that if Malaysia is again be attacked by Japanese, I will die to defend this country. I am born in Malaysia, and to be exact in Kuala Lumpur. This is my country whether you like it or not.

So let's talk like Malaysians instead of categorising ourselves as Chinese/Malay/Indian.
