I refer to Mike Lim's Nepotism at Khazanah and would like to add that should Pak Lah appoint his son-in-law to be the new chief operating officer at Khazanah Berhad, he would be doing more harm than good to this fine young man.

Khairy would have to live with the stigma all his life, and should he falter, the public will be very unforgiving. He is still very young and Pak Lah should make him work for his future.

As it is now, various parties have recorded their reservations about this speculated appointment and so have many who have championed Khairy. However, some have gone overboard.

The latest is the president of NCWO (National Council of Women's Organisations) who has given her support via her letter in the New Straits Times .

However, that support again is hollow and has done much damage to Khairy because his mother is an active member of NCWO and his aunty, Zakiah Hanum, used to be a very influential member in various women's organisations, all affiliates of NCWO.

As they say, with friends like these (well intentioned, maybe) Khairy does not need enemies.
