Just Bowing does spew out his fair share of vitriol, and then some.

I suspect that the vast majority of those who upped and left Malaysia for more hospitable climes are economic migrants, pure and simple.

No high-falutin' claims for more equal treatment, no claims to have done so to escape an atmosphere of 'bashing' back in Malaysia - no, nothing as complex. Just good, old-fashioned bottom-line dollars and cents calculations.

No emotions, just cold-blooded financial calculations.

I see plenty of this ilk in Singapore where many of them have taken roost. And, yes, they do vent considerable amounts of vitriol over the shabby treatment they experienced in Malaysia.

How they were denied places in the local universities (the poor dears - one suspects they can't bring themselves to acknowledge the supposedly academically inferior types could have done better than them) and how Singapore is the promised land, overflowing with milk and honey.

And, of course, the Singapore government being what it is, goes out of its way to encourage such expressions in the local media.

I don't see why there is so much angst about who emigrated, and why. The persons who did, chose to do so. Why endlessly justify their choice by going on and on about what is great in their adopted countries?

One suspects a subtle inferiority complex element at play here - that you have keep on justifying to one and all why you made the great leap to a place where meritocracy reigns and all are treated equal, regardless of race or religion.

And could I interest you in the latest Ponzi scheme while you are about it?
