I found the letter by John Teo It's time Muslims really spoke out as being offensive and insulting to Muslims. Time and time again, Muslims are expected to apologise for the errors of a handful of Muslims.

Even till today, Muslims are forced to bear the brunt of the actions of those men responsible for the Sept 11 attacks. It does not matter that millions of Muslims like me did not know these hijackers from the Middle East.

'As long as you share the same faith, you are equally culpable' seems to be the mind-set. This is a shocking mentality that can be equated with uncivilised people of olden days.

This 'war against terror' is hurting innocent people more than the intended targets. Obviously John Teo is not a Muslim, so it is not likely that he will be wrongly detained or tortured if he visits the US.

In the future, if the US does go to war with North Korea and North Korea has the support of the of China, how will John Teo feel if people of Chinese descent living in the US are given the same shoddy treatment Muslims today are receiving?
