I can't support the new PM anymore. It looks like our Malaysia is going backwards. When we became independent from Britain in 1957, our first prime minister Tunku Abdul Rahman set the path for better living free from foreign control and he finally achieved it.

Then our second prime minister Abdul Razak became known as Bapa Pembangunan , the development father of Malaysia. Yes, it was a very good start for Malaysia.

Our third prime minister Hussein Onn successfully promoted education in order to produce more educated Malaysians. After another smooth transition, our respected prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad called for a new 'Vision 2020' for the Malaysian people to achieve their goals.

Yes, some people may argue and criticise Dr M for pushing mega-projects such as Proton, KLCC the Twin Towers, KLIA, Sepang F1, CyberJaya, PutraJaya, etc. and wasting taxpayers' money.

But I won't agree with these people. Look at Malaysia's position today. The tourist industry has generated millions of ringgit and it was a great success under Mahathir's administration.

After the handover to Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, I, at first, had a high opinion of him and to continue with Dr M's development ideas. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

Instead of pushing for advanced technology, our present PM has favoured agriculture as the main growth engine of the entire nation. Our last four PMs tried very hard to push for industrialisation but now PM Abdullah is going back to square one with agriculture.

Lastly, perhaps, we may try to guess Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's main engine for growth if he became PM. Guess. Yes, developing Malaysia as major centre of weapons production.
