I was a student at Multimedia University and having been here for four years, I know very well how the management works.

They are never quick to do anything except to ask for money and more money. They just love to say, 'The university is not responsible for this', 'The university is not responsible for that'.

Even the student representatives council does not function. It turns down every other student's complaint by saying, 'The management thinks ...' or 'The management has decided so and so ...'

Hence, I am not surprised students get misled into enrolling for the wrong courses because as far as MMU is concerned, it just want a high student enrollment but without providing the necessary care and facilities.

The library is so cramped that students sit on the floor and bookshelves to study or do revisions. Some even study at the computer terminals because there just aren't enough seats for everybody. Ditto the food courts, so little seats. But maybe that's good because most of the food is overpriced.

Hostel facilities? Murky water, with several common toilets not functioning. As for the flooding, those on the ground floor suffer the worst as water from the top floors would backlog into their rooms.

Parking? MMU clamps cars parked along the road. but do they know why students have to park along the road? This is because half the campus is closed for building works and students have no choice but to park along the road.

They are not allowed to park at staff/lecturer car park. To unlock the clamps, students have to pay a RM100 fine. How very smart of the university to cheat students of their money with such tactics.
