I am not at all surprised to read the letter arguing that MAS' hiring of a former Israeli agent is a "non-issue". I doubt it that the writer would treat the whole issue as a "business decision" if for instance, an ex-commander of Hamas or an ex-consultant of an Iranian nuclear facility was hired for such an important position.
I am sure the writer will be against it because these are the "terrorists" out to destroy Israel and wipe it off the world map. After all, morality and human rights cannot be allowed to be undermined solely by business decisions, can they?
In my experience, people like the writer are aplenty. To the Zionists Jews, they are merely "gentiles" and always can be counted on to come to the defence of the racist state of Israel. Whenever the opportunity arises, such as MAS's hiring of a former member of Israeli intelligence - these gentiles will de-humanise the whole Palestinian conflict and give a facade of sovereignty and legitimacy to a state carved out of Palestinian blood.
I am well aware that I'm writing this at the risk of being branded an anti-Semite and racist who loves to use the Jews as bogeyman for all the problems we face in the world today. As someone who once worked at a publication firm, I remember getting endless phone calls and complaints about a decision we took - yes, a business decision - to republish Henry Ford's The International Jew in one single volume.
The funniest thing was that not one of the complainants was a Jew or an Israeli.
