I refer to the report Nyonya Tahir - a landmark judgment .
The findings of the Syariah High Court that Nyonya Tahir was at the time of death, not a Muslim should now provide a basis for Malay Muslims reverting from Islam to argue that they should not have to wait for death to be officially declared as a non-Muslim.
Surely, now the legally-binding and recognised rule that Malays are born Muslim and shall remain so until death has now been compromised by the latest Syariah High Court ruling?
