The recent letter to the editor by Anti-terrorist entitled M'sian youth support Hamas? is tainted with Westernised indoctrination to say the least. Any rational person with an ounce of logic and common sense will understand that this crisis did not culminate with the July 12 event when Hezbullah captured the two Israeli soldiers, or when Hamas captured the Israeli soldier in Gaza.

If the writer actually took the time to research the reason why some so passionately support Hamas, he or she will have had a more readable response and not a biased pro-Israeli-Western approach.

Let me provide some facts to the writer's 'It takes two hands to clap' theory. Hamas is a democratically-elected government. Only Israel and America brand them as a terrorist organisations. The UN recognises Hamas as a democratically-elected government as they, as well as other nations, conducted the elections for the Palestinians.

Having 'Made in Iran', 'Made in China' or 'Made in Russia' labels on the side of your missiles does not mean that Iran, China or Russia has sold them to you.

Now the obvious part of the above letter reply is the part where the writer doesn't seem to grasp the fact that all the captured Israelis are soldiers. Capture is part of their work brief. Not so for innocent civilians like the father and son who were captured a day before the Israeli soldier was 'kidnapped' in Gaza.

I would beg of your readers to be not influenced by Western and pro-Israeli thinking but rather to formulate their own thoughts and ideas on the matter.
