I refer to malaysiakini report Pak Lah: The good must overcome the bad .

I agree with the PM that it is not easy to change the public perception overnight and that 'the good things must be in control of the situation'. However, the PM should not be over sensitive to the negative public perception as time will tell if his intention to clean up the government is genuine.

For example, he should view the exposure of the recent two high-profile corruption scandals positively as an on-going development under his administration. These forms of corruption have been taking place for decades. If they are uncovered under his administration, it only goes to show the effectiveness of his desire and campaign in eliminating corruption as compared to the previous administration.

Upon his taking office, the PM's call to Malaysians to work with him was loud and clear. He should not now pull the brake over the momentum of change that Malaysians have been dying for. Otherwise, like what Mujahid Yusof Rawa said in his letter Corruption - PM has betrayed Malaysians , the PM has betrayed himself and the public. He should be the good to overcome the bad. When the bad is exposed, be good to let justice takes its course without protecting the bad.

You must be sincere and you must lead by example. If you continue to "do as I say but not do as I do" as pointed out by malaysiakini editorial , then you are a betrayer of the first order.
