I totally agree with Oversea Malaysian that our Prime Minister must seriously think about replacing his incompetent Information Minister.

As a former journalist with one of the mainstream newspapers, I simply don't understand how an ex-journalist could be so mean, if I may say so, as to gag the very profession that he grew up with to finally sit in the Malaysian cabinet.

He is certainly no friend of the Fourth Estate; he is Enemy No 1 of the country's journalists.

Someone should tell this chap to move over. We have had enough of him. If he is allowed to continue making silly statements and proposals, he will only undo all the good things that Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had done thus far for the nation.

On another related issue (also concerning a minister), Pak Lah must seriously look into removing Jamaludin Jarjis for his racist remarks about the Indian community.

If he is allowed to stay, it would only encourage other ministers to touch on racially explosive issues.

Also, it could mean that such statements are condoned by the authorities. Anyway, why the silence? Why haven't any of our ministers or the Prime Minister himself rapped Jamaludin for his bigotry?
