I am a supporter of the ruling party for very obvious reasons: stability, peace and harmony. I am not anti-opposition, but pro-government, and people like me number by the millions.
We are generally a very patient and resilient grouping, and this I believe was the success of Barisan Nasional at the last general election on March 8. We practice racial and religious tolerance and come from all walks of life.
What BN must be careful of is losing us, as we represent all races. I will never stand for my friends, Malay, Chinese, Indian or any other race, being called names or belittled, and I am now telling BN that my friends, of all races, feel the same way.
In many letters to Malaysiakini I spoke up for the ruling party, I did not support Anwar, but did not castigate the opposition, a very necessary part of democracy, and also quoted names of very famous opposition members I had great respect for.
Now to come back to my point, if the BN and UMNO does not take action against Ahmad Ismail, the racist teacher in Klang and people like this, I can safely tell you that we the silent majority throughout the country will reject the BN once and for all, and live in the deep blue sea.
We may have chosen the devil rather than the deep blue sea on March 8, but we will try our luck with the deep blue sea next time. As a hardcore supporter of the BN, I want all BN party members to hear my warning, as I am from that group of people they rely on come every general election.
I did not see the need to jail the Hindraf Five. I am also trying to figure out why BN did not court them to form a political party and fight for their struggles, as I believe they are a very strong grouping, and with a following worthy of recognition and being contributing Malaysians, and yet when the five were jailed, I was sad for both sides’ inability to see what they could gain from each other for a better Malaysia.
I dare say Dr Mahathir would have done it differently. He may not be a lot of people’s favorite person, but his legacy will remain forever etched in the minds of millions of Malaysians who will look back and thank him for the peace, harmony and wealth we gained during his tenure.
He coveted all races and showed no evil intent. Although he did some draconian things, but that was the order of the day. I don't recollect any of my rights as a Malaysian and human being, taken away from me.
Others may beg to differ, but I am sure they will be doing it from their comfortable homes and after a good meal. Dr Mahathir saw to this basic need for all Malaysians.
My message to the current PM is please resign. Thank you for your efforts but you must relinquish your post for the sake of the country. Only after you go can the nation and its people heal.
To Anwar Ibrahim, my sincere congratulations on your return to Parliament, but I believe if you work hard, your daughter Nurul Izzah could be PM. It takes time and must be peaceful, and only by winning the hearts of all the people.
Who knows, the next GE could be yours, but if you have crossovers, then as sure as I am writing this, I can tell you that you will be the PM with the shortest rule and the great job of smoothing the turmoil that is sure to follow.
Lastly, if I was to support the ISA, then Ahmad Ismail would certainly be the one I would lock up for eternity. Ahmad, me and my Malay friends do not think you belong to any super race nor did you single-handedly develop Malaysia.
Before I end, I would like to inform everyone who reads this that we are all equal in the eyes of God. Don't deny this fact for God will judge us all equally. So Ahmad, hopefully you will reform before your judgement day.
